One Day Format
Participants will be introduced to the basic concepts of MI, participate in case situations for practice and review MI training videos.

Two Day Format
Participants will be introduced to the basic concepts of MI, participate in case situations for practice and review MI training videos on day one. On day two, special emphasis will be devoted to practice in reflective listening and methods to elicit change talk.

Three to Four Day Format
Participants will be introduced to the basic concepts of MI, participate in case situations for practice and review MI training videos on day one. On day two, special emphasis will be devoted to practice in reflective listening and methods to elicit change talk.
Days three and four will be devoted to application to specific case scenarios relevant to participant practice.
Technical Assistance
One day of in-depth supervision is offered for the application of MI skills either with individuals or groups following at least two days of basic introduction to MI.
Application of Motivational Interviewing in Addictions Treatment Groups
Two Day Training
Participants working with clients in addiction treatment groups will receive didactic information and supervised practice utilizing the text, Motivational Groups for Community Substance Abuse, Mid-Atlantic Addiction Technology Transfer Group.
Preparing Your Agency for Motivational Interviewing
Consultation on agency structure, procedures with a goal of preparing your organization for utilization of MI. Use this in conjunction with staff training in MI in order to implement MI in your setting.
